Billboard of TV Show "Next"

History at a Glance — Outdoor Key Visual for TV Show “Next”

Role
Graphic Designer / Art Director — key visual, portrait treatment, typography, and large-format adaptation.

Project goal
Create a billboard for a historical television programme that could communicate its tone in the few seconds available to an outdoor viewer. The design needed to feel connected to history and documentary storytelling, but still work as contemporary promotion rather than as a museum poster.

Creative and technical approach
The presenter’s portrait forms the visual anchor. A dark, restrained palette, warm gold accents, compact programme information, and strongly framed typography build an atmosphere of authority and historical weight. The composition deliberately avoids too many competing elements: from a distance, the face and title are read first; the supporting information becomes available only as the viewer gets closer.
Large-format design also required a different kind of discipline from screen graphics. Contrast, silhouette, and spacing had to survive real viewing conditions — street distance, movement, changing light, and a physical print surface.

Result
A focused outdoor key visual that brings the programme out of the television screen and into public space. The campaign communicates the show’s historical character quickly, clearly, and with enough visual presence to stand on its own as a poster.
