Project goal
A deliberately playful opener for a TV show about scams, deception and the roles people perform in everyday fraud. The project combined an original photo shoot with art direction, stock-image research, compositing and motion design to build a gallery of exaggerated characters around the show’s two recurring protagonists. The objective was to create an opener that immediately explains the show’s world of scams and role-playing, while giving the two recurring protagonists a flexible visual universe that could support many different comic situations.
Creative and technical approach
The actors were photographed in multiple poses and expressions, then their portraits were cut out and recombined with carefully selected stock bodies and situations. That collision between real faces and artificial scenarios became the core visual joke: a flexible comic world in which the same people could instantly become victim, trickster or a new character entirely.
Beyond the opener itself, the workflow moved across several disciplines — live-action shooting, performance direction, image selection, retouching, stock research, compositing and animation. That multidisciplinary process made it possible to build a large character universe from a compact production setup.
Result
A distinctive opener whose value lies as much in the production method as in the final animation: original photography, actor direction, stock selection, image manipulation and motion design all meet in one concept. The result is playful, memorable and highly specific to a programme about scams, deception and changing roles.
